Resolutions…How’s it going?
How are your resolutions going so far?
As life sets in and the weeks turn into months, it can be hard to stay committed. Making your personal Bible time can even feel impossible. Don’t forget what the Bible says about being persistent…
“…rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” — Romans 5:3-5,
So, let’s resolve to make our Bible time significant, which might mean get it in where you can fit it in. The Bible.is app makes that ultimately possible. Everyday, wherever you are, read, listen and see God’s Word with a simple touch. Dive into God’s Word daily to seek His face, and see how the Bible will resonate in your life, producing fruit that doesn’t turn void.
Praise God for His many tools to embrace Him with confidence.
FCBH’s Digital Bible Project –> Platform [VIDEO]
Faith Comes By Hearing’s Digital Bible Project is now…
- The Digital Bible Platform
Offering Unparalleled Access to Scripture in nearly 700 Languages
Across 7 platforms, ministry provides free global admission to the world’s largest digital library of Bible text and audio
Albuquerque, N.M. – The Digital Bible Project began as a concept in 2009 when Faith Comes By Hearing sought to create free and open digital access – across multiple platforms – to both Bible text and the world’s largest and continually growing catalog of Audio Scripture. Now with seven direct digital distribution points to the Word of God in an unprecedented number of languages, the ministry has decided to move from the conceptual title of Digital Bible Project to the reality of what now exists – unmatched access through the Digital Bible Platform.
During their first 37 years in ministry, Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) estimates they reached some 50 million people with Audio Scripture. In the last two and half years – through what is now the Digital Bible Platform – FCBH has monitored Bible engagement by more than 90 million people, including connections originating from 92% of the countries on the planet. Over this same timeframe, they report an average of over 2 million minutes a day spent listening to God’s Word, including an average of 27 minutes per day by each person listening on mobile devices via the Bible.is app.
Between direct downloads from their site and podcast store, the largest Audio Bible store in iTunes, the ministry has registered more than 38 million free downloads to personal devices – from which true worldwide impact is immeasurable.
“We can only imagine the exponential reach of God’s Word in audio on multiple millions of devices around the world,” says Troy Carl, FCBH vice president and architect of the Digital Bible Platform. “From iPods and MP3 players to laptops and smartphones, technology has become the new ‘Roman Road’. And the Gospel is circling the earth on that road, in the heart languages of the world.”
In addition to these online platforms, the ministry also provides free access through digital playback devices. The Proclaimer, a solar-powered unit capable of being heard by groups as large as several hundred, is used primarily to reach the world’s poor and illiterate population. There are currently over 317,000 Proclaimers literally proclaiming the Gospel around the globe. In addition, more than 222,000 Military BibleSticks – pocket-sized, digital players loaded with the dramatized New Testament – have been distributed through chaplains to troops in every branch of America’s military.
Even with these multiple platforms and devices, Faith Comes By Hearing’s leadership insists it is the message and not the method of distribution that will remain their guiding principle.
“The vehicle has never been important to us. We’ve gone from cassette tapes to CDs to now digital. And I’m sure there is a great new technology out there being developed that we’ll be using in the future,” states Jerry Jackson, FCBH founder and president. “That being said, our focus will always be to bring the pure Word of God – in a format people can use – to every nation, tribe and tongue.”

The Heart of a Child
Welcome to August!
It has been a great summer so far and we have learned about a great deal of Biblical characters. Following these fact filled months of “Manly Mentors of the Bible” and “Wonder Women of the Word”, we are excited to embrace a new journey with you.
So, what’s next…?
Over the month of August, we will be celebrating our children and youth with the Bible and characters from the Bible. We found it only fitting to focus on children during the month of August, with Vacation Bible School’s wrapping up and the commencement of a new school year just around the corner.
Join us each day on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest as we rejoice in “The Heart of a Child”. We will ponder scriptures about our youth and meditate on God’s direction for us to help lead the upcoming generations towards a focus on the Word of God and God’s Love for each one of them.
Manly Mentors
Do you need a good mentor or someone to look up to?
The Bible is full of great mentors, teachers, councilors, and so much more. In the month of June we will be celebrating the men of courage from the Bible as we post each day on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. We would love to see you engage with us as we look up to those who left a strong Biblical legacy to uphold.
Feel free to share your knowledge and insight on these Manly Mentors each day. There is so much to learn from God’s Word, so let’s learn by the great examples God has set out for us in his brilliant Biblical Word, the Bible.

Congrats FCBH! 4 Stars for the 5th Year.
Faith Comes By Hearing Receives Highest 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator for Fifth Consecutive Year
Audio Bible ministry recognized as exceptional in top 4% of all charities by leading charity evaluator in America
Albuquerque, N.M. Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) is pleased to announce they have again been awarded the prestigious 4-star rating from Charity Navigator the countrys leading evaluator of charities. Being recognized for the fifth straight year elevates the ministry into the top 4% of all charities which, according to Charity Navigator, means FCBH outperforms most other charities in America and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.
In his notification letter, Charity Navigators President and CEO Ken Berger writes:
We are proud to announce Hosanna/Faith Comes By Hearing has earned our fifth consecutive 4-star rating. Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way.
This recognition is especially meaningful to Faith Comes By Hearing as Charity Navigator evaluates 10 times the number of charities than the next closest organization and draws more visitors to their website than every other charity evaluator combined. Their two-part methodology which focuses on sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency has been covered by Forbes, Business Week and Kiplingers Financial Magazine. Charity Navigator estimates their evaluations have influenced approximately $10 billion in charitable gifts.
Jerry Jackson, FCBHs founder and president, states, It has always been our priority to be good stewards with every donation given to complete our mission. The best way to ensure accountability is to be open with our finances. As an outside and impartial evaluator, Charity Navigators continued recognition of our transparency and fiscal responsibility is testimony to our current and prospective donors that they are giving to a ministry that is using their funds wisely.
As Faith Comes By Hearing celebrates their 40th year in ministry throughout 2012, the ministry remains focused on providing Gods Word in an audio format to every nation, tribe, village and tongue. They currently have Audio Scriptures in 627 languages that can be freely accessed on their website, via podcasts in their iTunes store, or on their free Bible app known as…
